Roger Gale Ennis

Roger G. Ennis, age 72 of Princeton, passed away at home on Friday, December 1, 2023.

 

Memorial Services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Goodman Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Mark Faughn officiating.  Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the memorial hour.  Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Roger was born July 21, 1951 to the late Beatrice Storms and Rodney Ennis. He was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church and retired as a proud UMWA coal miner. He was a lifelong fan of St. Louis Cardinals & UK basketball, hard to beat in a game of pool, loved playing co-ed softball and hunting.  But above all, he cherished his family and especially being a papaw to five grandsons. 

 

Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Faye, daughter Tammy (Russell) Presswood of Kevil; son Chris (Holly) Ennis of Princeton; sisters Teresa (Danny) Jones of Princeton, Janet (Mike) Herring of Eddyville, and Sandy (Ellis) Meredith of Cadiz; brother Charles (Vickie) Ennis of Cadiz, KY. Grandchildren Brandon (Elizabeth) Winter of Old Bridge, NJ, Blake (Jess) Martin of Kevil, Collin (Mariah) Ennis & Carter Ennis, of Princeton; Great grandchild, Zoe Ennis and many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a brother Dale Ennis and grandson Logan Ennis.
