Peggy Jane Wynn, age 78 of Princeton, a devoted caregiver known for her caring, empathetic, loving, and kind nature, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 18, 2026. Born on May 10, 1948, in Caldwell County, Kentucky, Peggy dedicated her life to caregiving, a testament to her selfless spirit and compassionate heart.
Throughout her life, Peggy found joy and solace in simple pleasures such as cooking, reading, and drawing. Her love for flowers was well known among family and friends, symbolizing the beauty and warmth she brought into their lives.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Chris Wynn (Genea) of Eddyville; her daughters, Tina Wynn and Mary Jane May, both of Princeton; and her brother, Bobby Travis (Gayle) of Princeton. Peggy's sisters, Sarah Nelson, Dora Jones, and Beverly Bell, also survive her. Her legacy extends to her grandchildren—Chelsea Hill (Geoff) of Paducah, Christopher Wynn of Eddyville, Chance Wynn of Eddyville, and Peyton May (Sasha Hurley) of Princeton—and to her great-grandchildren, Chloe Hill and Kailyn Hill, who bring continued joy to the family. A cherished family friend, Steven Kirby, also remains a part of the community that surrounded Peggy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mose Travis; mother, Mary Edith Nichols; husband of 53 years, Thomas Carney Wynn; and brothers, Jim Travis and Bill Travis.
A graveside service to honor Peggy’s life will be held on May 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, located at 2906 Friendship Road in Eddyville, Kentucky.
Peggy Jane Wynn’s life was defined by her unwavering dedication to others, her generous spirit, and the love she so freely gave. She leaves behind a sacred memory that will continue to inspire and comfort all who were fortunate to know her.
