Mitchell Shawn Hopkins age, 50, of Princeton, KY, born on August 12, 1974, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 28 2024, at the Shady Lawn Nursing and Rehab Center. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Mitchell dedicated his life to caring for others, working as a nurse aid where his compassion and commitment to his patients shone brightly. His gentle nature and unwavering support were a source of comfort to many, reflecting his character as someone who always put others before himself. He leaves behind a family that loves him dearly. 

Mitchell is survived by his father, Roy Lowery and his mother, Florence G. Lowery. He is also survived by his brothers, Wallace Gregory of Clinton, Missouri, Donnie Lee Lowery and Leroy Lowery of Princeton Kentucky as well as his sisters, Kristina Vance and Taknica Vance, both from Texas. Each of them cherishes the memories made with him and will hold them close to their hearts. 

Mitchell was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Edna Gregory, uncles Clayton Hoover,  Harry Hoover, Doug LaPradd, Jeff Jefferies along with an aunt Ellen Anglin. Mitchell's warmth and kindness will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have shared in his life. He made a lasting impact through his work and the love he offered his family. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
