Eileen Marjorie Norquist, age 98 of Princeton, born on April 20, 1927, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at her residence. Eileen was of the Global Methodist faith, and throughout her life, she embodied the values of kindness and community service.

Eileen was known for her unwavering dedication to volunteer work at Caldwell County Hospital, where she made numerous friends and provided comfort to those in need. Alongside her commitment to community service, Eileen was a talented seamstress, an enthusiastic gardener, and a great cook, all of which showcased her nurturing spirit and love for family and friends. She also enjoyed sharing her love for Scandinavian culture with members of the local club VASA, fostering connections and friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Eileen’s legacy is carried on by her loving family. She is survived by her son, Bernie Norquist of Princeton; daughters Crystal Shaffer (David) of Princeton and Sandra Norquist of Kuttawa; and her nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Eileen is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Norquist; her parents, Ole and Alma Nordrum; her brother, Pete Nordrum; her brother, Marvin Nordrum; her daughter, Connie Poovey; her son-in-law, Donald Lasdon; and her grandchild, Matthew Knight. Each of these individuals played a significant role in her life, and their memories will be cherished.

Eileen Marjorie Norquist will be remembered as a loving mother and a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many through her generosity and warmth. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.

In her honor, a visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at Goodman Funeral Home located at 1032 West Main St., Princeton, KY  42445.  Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Eileen's incredible life, share stories, and find comfort in each other as they remember her.
