Deane Stewart, age 83, of Cadiz, formerly of Princeton, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 10, 2026.
Deane was born on January 22, 1943, in Caldwell County to her late parents, James "Dixie" Coleman and Hester Merrick Coleman.
Deane was employed at the Princeton Electric Plant Board for twenty-five years, where she worked in bookkeeping. This is also where she met her husband of sixty-two years, John Ross "Buster" Stewart. Deane was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Kent Ross Stewart (Juli) of Owensboro, and her daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Tyler (Aaron) of Cadiz. Her legacy continues through her loving grandchildren: McKenna Carlin Green, Mitchell Ross Green, Izabella Anne Stewart, Emma Claire Stewart, Mackenzie Driver, and Dallas Tyler. She is also survived by her sisters, Joyce Farmer and Brenda Calhoun, and by her sister-in-law, Betty Coleman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Ross "Buster" Stewart; and her brothers, Charles Coleman, James Coleman, and Ralph Coleman.
A visitation will be held on August 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Goodman Funeral Home, 1032 West Main St, Princeton, KY 42445. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Goodman Funeral Home, with Rev. Jamus Redd III officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton, Kentucky.
