Charles Leamon Phelps

Charles L. Phelps, age 88 of Princeton died Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Shemwell Healthcare in Providence.  He was born the son of the late Herschel L. Phelps, and the late Erma Scott Phelps.  He retired from Special Metals.  He was part of the Investment club in Princeton, enjoyed farming, he was a ham radio operator, he was a private pilot who flew recreationally, and he loved playing the steel guitar.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Goodman Funeral Home in Princeton.  A private family graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his sons: Charles Ray Phelps (Jan) of Princeton, Joe Phelps (Libby) of Princeton; his daughters: Elizabeth Pickering (Ralph) of Princeton, and Donna Solly (Butch) of Princeton; his seven grandchildren; and his thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson: Eli Wilson.
