Angela will be remembered for her lively spirit, her devotion to her faith, her love of music, and the joy she found in family, friendship, and the simple things that made life beautiful.

Angela Renee Parmer, known lovingly to many as Angie, age 48, passed away at her home on September 1, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 29, 1977, in Paducah and lived a life marked by joy, faith, and deep love for the people around her. Fun loving, kind, and full of life, Angie brought warmth and brightness wherever she went.

For the first 6 years of her life, Angie lived in Metropolis, Illinois before moving to Kentucky. She later graduated from Murray High School, an important milestone in a life filled with perseverance and grace. Angie was a Down syndrome survivor for 48 years, and those who knew her saw in her a spirit of strength, courage, and enduring joy.

Angela was a believer in Christ and was baptized in Jesus’ name. Her faith was central to her life, and she never went anywhere without her Bible. She was a member of Cornerstone of Faith Ministries in Princeton, Kentucky.

Music brought Angela great happiness. She loved Jason Crabb, the Gaither Vocal Band, country music, and contemporary gospel music. She was also a huge fan of Elvis Presley. Jason Crabb held a special place in her heart, and she tried to see him anytime he came to the local area. Angela also loved shopping at thrift stores and Goodwill, and she found comfort and peace in raising rabbits and chickens.

Angela enjoyed being with others and treasured family outings and vacations. She was active with Caldwell County Special Olympics, where she participated as a cheerleader during basketball season and was also a member of the bowling team.

She is survived by her sisters, Kristal Story (Jackie) of Princeton and Cassey Wilkins (Travis) of Metropolis; her brother, Rickey Parmer II (Samantha) of Metropolis; her stepmother, Mary Parmer of Metropolis; her nieces, Meagan Duncan (Travis) of Grand Rivers and Ashley Story of Madisonville; her great nieces: Abigail Ruch, Matilda Ruch, and Elijah Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rick Parmer, and her mother, Mary Boney.

Angela will be remembered for her lively spirit, her devotion to her faith, her love of music, and the joy she found in family, friendship, and the simple things that made life beautiful. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
